Something from another trip to learn about weaving history in Chhattisgarh. Amazed to see such an old integrated society at Chhuikhadan Society in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh .It was established in 1950 .Cooperative has facility of weaving, dyeing, spinning and retail unit under one roof.
In current scenario Integrated unit has many solution to create an updated and modern environment to promote the unorganized craft sector.While many people are getting into creating new such institution..Reviving old institution can also be a great idea considering the kind of association it has with local weavers and artisans along with the operational facility it provide.
It was an inspiring and learning experience to meet the members of society.. great skill, great knowledge and happy people. Bebaak Studio hats off to the spirit of the employees or people working there.
